
The diverse terrain and variety of cultures of the region north of Pokhara make each day’s walk a different experience and make the area the most popular destinations in the country. Four favorite treks, each with minimum of three weeks treks, to Kali-Gandaki basin include Manang region, Annapurna range, Jomsom and the Annapurna Sanctuary. Alpine meadows, moraines, glaciers and breathtaking views of the Annapurna range abound. The htreehundred kilometer Annapurna Circuit combines the first two areas by crossing high altitude pass, Manang Thorang-La ( 5360 meters) and takes up to three weeks to complete.
Most domestic airline operate a Pokhara-based network that serves Jomsom, Manang , Baglung, and sometimes Dolpa and Jumla with eary-morning flights.
Annapurna Base Camp is the most famous trekking area for trekkers in Nepal. The peaks like Annapurna Himal including Hiunchuli , Annapurna South , Fang , Gangapuran , Annapurna II and III , Machhapurare are some of the major attractions to add pleasure for the trekkers in the circuits.
The Ghorepani and Poon Hill Trek starts and ends in Pokhara, a colourful foray into the Annapurna region. The trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where you can stop to cool your face. Around every corner is a tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains, whole horizons of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek.
